MUNICIPAL OFFICE STAFF WORKING
OFFICE CLOSED TO PUBLIC

As of Monday March 16, 2020 the Lower Nazareth Township Municipal Office is closed to the public. A self-assistance station is set up in the foyer and is checked by staff multiple times throughout the day. Anyone needing assistance can contact the office at 610-759-7434. We apologize for the inconvenience; however, this decision is made in light of the ongoing Coronavirus situation.

 

LOWER NAZARETH REAL ESTATE TAX OFFICE CLOSED TO PUBLIC

The Lower Nazareth Township Tax Collector’s Office is closed to the public. Please mail all payments to the address on your tax bill. If you must pay in person please call to make arrangements. Tax Collector’s phone number is (484) 291-1546.

The Board voted to amend the due dates as follows:
 Discount continues through June 1st
Base period begins on June 2nd
Penalty period begins on August 2nd

Use of parks is at your own risk and park equipment is not sanitized.

 

LOWER NAZARETH YARD WASTE FACILITY OPEN AS OF May 29th –     

The following rules apply:

1. Drop-off is available to Lower Nazareth Township residents only.
2. Yard Waste from commercial landscapers will not be accepted.
3. Bring Driver’s License or State ID as proof of residency.
4. Must be able to unload your vehicle without assistance from staff.

LOWER NAZARETH TOWNSHIP MEETINGS

The Lower Nazareth Township Board of Supervisors will hold a meeting on Wednesday, October 28, 2020 at 6:30 p.m.  (Agenda will be posted soon) The purpose of the meeting is to conduct routine Township business. The meeting will be a virtual meeting due to the ongoing COVID-19 crisis. A component of the meeting will be a conditional use hearing….NOTICE OF CONDITIONAL USE HEARING – LVTC II Owner, LLC and LIT Acquisitions, LLC (CU2020-01) – Public Notice by the Lower Nazareth Township Board of Supervisors is hereby given for a Conditional Use Hearing to be held on Wednesday, October 28, 2020 at 6:30 p.m.  The proposed use is a 527,472 s.f. light industrial building, requiring Conditional Use approval as prescribed in the Lower Nazareth Township 2001 Zoning Ordinance, last amended November 18, 2018; Article 11, Section 1103.A, excluding 1103.A.(21), Section 1105.B, and Section 1107.  The property locations are 4779 & 4863 Hanoverville Road, 4897 thru 4937 Hanoverville Road, and 4955 thru 4967 Flora Lane, Bethlehem, PA 18020.  Tax Parcel Numbers are #L6-20-1, #L6-20-2, #L6-20-3, #L6-20-3A, #L6-20-3B, #L6-20-4, #L6-20-5, and #L6-20-7 and they are zoned Light Industrial Campus (LI).

The applicants must appear at this Conditional Use Hearing.

CORONAVIRUS INFORMATION

Lower Nazareth Township continues to monitor Federal, State and Local departments and agencies, including but not limited to, the Center for Disease Control (CDC), Department of Health & Human Services, PA Department of Health, FEMA, PEMA and other associated agencies.  Currently, there is at least one reported case of COVID-19 in Northampton County.  Township staff will continue to be proactive in handling the situation.  Additional cleanings are being implemented as necessary to the municipal building.  Colonial Regional Police Department, Hecktown Volunteer Fire Company and our Emergency Management Coordinator are included in the Township’s actions.

Updates will be published on both the Township website (www.lowernazareth.com) and the “official” Township Facebook page.  To obtain the most accurate information, please refer to the website for Center for Disease Control and the Pennsylvania Department of Health.  Lower Nazareth Township will continue to follow this evolving situation with all Township departments.  Lower Nazareth Township is committed to the public health, safety and welfare of our community and we will take the appropriate actions as this threat evolves.
